Platform for physical measurements at low temperature (MPBT)

The MPBT platform common to the chemistry and physics faculties is located in corridor 33-43, Saint Bernard level, Room SB 05.

Our equipment :

MPMS3 (Magnetic Properties Measurement System 3)

  • Magnetic measurements in DC, VSM and AC mode
  • Continuous operation.

Options

He3 cryostat allowing DC and AC measurements between 0.4 – 1.8 K
Magneto-optical measurements – light sources:
Laser sources at 406, 532, 635, 808, 900 et 1310 nm
LED sources at 406, 535, 635 et 808 nm
High-pressure cell (0 -1.0 GPa)

Specifications of measuring conditions

DC and VSM : T = 1.8 – 400 K, H = ± 7 T
AC : F = 0.1 – 1 KHz, Amplitude = 0.1-10 Oe
Sample size: d × h = 5-6 mm × 9 mm
