The IPCM will be present at the science village of Sorbonne University
The Fête de la Science is a unique opportunity for scientists to share their passion with the general public and to promote science and its professions. This year again, the Institute is actively participating in this event by offering activities that are both fun and educational adapted to all audiences.
It will be an opportunity for the institute’s scientists to present the fundamental principles of molecular chemistry in which they are specialists and to show how they are found in our daily lives. Visitors will also be able to carry out experiments that illustrate these scientific concepts on the stands located on the Jussieu campus of Sorbonne University.
In addition to these activities, the institute opens its doors to the public to allow them to discover the laboratory and the park of scientific instruments specific to molecular chemistry.
Four themes will be illustrated
by the Institute’s groups
Dive into the chemistry of the oceans and discover the world of the molecules that are hidden there: drugs, CO2, pollutants…
The secrets of polymers: from nature to innovation
Des plastiques aux polymères océaniques, explorez leurs applications et les innovations inspirées de la nature.
Program coming soon
Calotypes and cyanotypes: photographs of the past
Explore underwater mysteries with particles from the past with an Egyptologist, then create your own cyanotype with a chemist.
We hope that many of you will come and talk to the scientists present on the stands, a unique opportunity not to be missed!
