Summer school 2024 – Bio-Inspired Molecules and Materials for Medicinal Applications and Sustainability (Bio3Ms)

Sorbonne Université’s UFR de Chimie, including the CHEMBIO and ECP groups, is co-organizing an international summer school with the chemistry department of the International Hellenic University (IHU) on bio-inspired molecules and materials for medicinal applications and sustainability.

The courses will take place in English from July 1 to 10, 2024 in Kavala, Greece.

Themes will focus on the health and environmental applications of molecules and materials such as coordination complexes, biomacromolecules, polymers, hybrid materials, nanocomposites and nanoparticles.

Several teacher-researchers from different laboratories of the UFR Chimie are part of the organizing committee and will take part in the teaching sessions, during which they will present part of their research.

Candice Botuha, Benoit Bertrand, Fanny Coumes, Nicolas Illy and Michèle Salmain, will represent the IPCM at this summer school.

The Materials Institute of the Sorbonne University Alliance is offering to fund the travel of three (or four) PhD students working in the materials field and interested in taking part in this summer school.

If you are interested in benefiting from this funding, please send a one-page CV with ten or so lines demonstrating your motivation to take part in this summer school, with a copy to your thesis supervisor, before Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
