Louis Fensterbank’s inaugural lecture for the Activations in Molecular Chemistry Chair

March 07, 2024 – 18:00 – 19:00

Amphithéâtre Marguerite de Navarre
Site Marcelin Berthelot

Collège de France – Paris

After more than a century of constant innovation and industrial development, contemporary considerations of energy transition and resource sustainability are redirecting research in the field of molecular synthesis, and in particular activation processes, to ensure the production of molecules with optimized properties for a growing world population, while respecting the environment. The lesson will trace the history of the field, examples of major research themes and our contributions.
