Surface chemistry, coordination chemistry, nanometric assemblies, molecular electronics and spintronics

Current research

  • Thin films of polyoxometalates on flat surfaces and advanced physical measurements toward their integration into molecular and spin electronic devices.
  • Assemblies of polyoxometalates and magnetic or conductive nanoparticles to tune the intrinsic properties of the nanoparticles, towards emergent multifunctional assemblies.

Selected recent results

  • Periodic organization of isolated polyoxometalates on HOPG thanks to a bidimensional organic network (Nanoscale 2023)
  • Photomodulation of monolayers of polyoxometalates deposited electrostatically on a thiol SAM on gold (Nanoscale 2022)
  • Tuning of the Coulomb blockade properties of ultra-mall platinum nanoparticles by surface modification with of thiol-terminated polyoxometalates (Nanoscale Horiz. 2021)

Scientific career

  • 2007-2010: Ph.D. thesis under the supervision of Talal Mallah, ICMMO (University of Paris-Saclay): Bistable nanoparticles of cyanide-bridged networks
  • 2010-2011: Post-doctoral research with H. Perez, CEA Saclay (DSM/ IRAMIS/SPAM-LFP): Capped platinum nanoparticles deposited on carbon nanotubes for PEM Fuel Cells
  • 2011-2012 : Post-doctoral research with E. Coronado, ICMol, Valencia, Spain: Growth of MOFs on substrates, for molecular spintronics
  • Since 2012 : associate professor at IPCM, Sorbonne University
  • 2022 : Habilitation (Sorbonne university)  Manipulating molecules and molecular materials at the nanometric scale : toward molecular and spin electronics
