EDUCATION:

  • 2018-2021 : 2018-2021: European PhD at the University Federico II (Napoli, Italy). Research project on the synthesis and studies of the anticancer properties of novel glycoconjufìgate organometallic complexes (Pt, Ru, Au). (Under the supervision of Prof. Francesco Ruffo and Dr. Maria Elena Cucciolito).
  • 2016-2018: Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Chemical Sciences (cum Laude), University Federico II (Napoli, Italy).
  • 2013-2016: Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry, University Federico II (Napoli, Italia).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Mar. 2022-: Postdoc in Chembio team (under the supervision of Dr. Michèle Salmain), on the study of half-sandwich iridium complexes for anti-cancer and cellular imaging applications (IPCM, Sorbonne University, Paris, France).
  • Oct. 2020- April 2021: Research period at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland) in the group of Prof. Paul J. Dyson, on the synthesis and study of ruthenium arene complexes as anticancer agents.
  • Sept 2016 – June 2018: Master’s internship under the supervision of Prof. Francesco Ruffo and Dr. Maria Elena Cucciolito at the University Federico II (Napoli, Italy) on the synthesis and the study of the catalytic properties of Fe(III) complexes for oxidation processes.
  • Oct. 2017: Internship in Prof. Alceo Macchioni group at the University of Perugia (Perugia, Italy) on the properties of Fe(III) complexes as water oxidation catalysts (WOCs).
  • Mar. 2016 – June 2016: B.Sc.’s internship under the supervision of Prof. Francesco Ruffo at the University Federico II (Napoli, Italy) on the synthesis and characterization of Mn(II) complexes with tri- and tetra-aza macrocyclic ligands.
