Our research activities concern the design and synthesis of new π-conjugated materials, purposefully designed to spontaneously organize themselves at the nanoscale leading to novel properties mostly directed towards (nano)optoelectronic applications.

We have ample expertise in the synthesis of organic semi-conductive materials, liquid crystalline derivatives and supra & macromolecular systems. We are also interested in the study of their structural, photophysical, self-assembling and electronic properties and possible applications in devices such as OLEDs, OFETs, etc.

Postscript :

As of January 2017, an international research unit (UMI) was inaugurated in Seoul, South Korea with the CNRS, Sorbonne Université, EHWA Women’s University and Yonsei University as partners. This UMI is led by Prof. André-Jean Attias (formerly based at the Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères).
The main objective of the UMI ‘2B-FUEL’ over the next five years will be devoted to the development of functionalized two-dimensional (2D) materials-based multilayer heterostructures and molecularly-thin devices for future printed, organic, and large-area flexible electronics towards autonomous and integrated smart systems.
Our team at the LCP functions as a “mirror” lab and will host some researchers involved with the UMI-2B FUEL.
