Research interests:

Molecular Inorganic Chemistry; Coordination Chemistry of Polyoxometalates; Hybrid Materials for Catalysis; Metallic and core@shell Nanoparticles; Epoxidation catalysis; CO2 cycloaddition onto epoxides.

  • Functionalization of polyoxometalates (POMs).
  • Coordination Chemistry of POMs. Organometallic Chemistry of POMs.
  • Synthesis/characterization of POMs-functionalized mesoporous oxide supports.
  • Post-functionalization of core@shell nanoparticles with hybrids POMs.
  • Catalytic reactivity of POMs for alkene epoxidation with H2O2.
  • Tandem catalysis for the one-pot synthesis of cyclic carbonates.
  • Generation and stabilization of metallic nanoparticles by lacunary POMs.

Recent results:

  • Preparation and coordination properties of organo-phosphonyle derivatives of trivacant heteropolytungstates. Study of their catalytic properties in alkenes epoxidation.
  • in collaboration with Pr. Franck Launay (LRS, SU): covalent fonctionalization of mesoporous silica supports (SBA 15 and MCF) with POM hybrids: a key step for the preparation of POMs-based anchored homogeneous catalysts for alkene epoxidation.
  • in collaboration with Pr. Franck Launay (LRS, SU): Preparation of supported catalysts for the one-pot synthesis of cyclic carbonates from alkenes.
  • in collaboration with Dr A. Shum Cheong Sing (Université de la Réunion, France), oxidation of terpenes from biomass.
  • in collaboration with Dr J.M. Siaugue (“Colloïdes Inorganiques” team from Lab. PHENIX, SU) elaboration of novel hybrid nanomaterials based on the covalent association of POM hybrids with core-shell magnetic nanoparticles.
